Apostille services for documents used abroad

We obtain apostilles from the competent authority so your documents are recognised in Hague Convention countries.

An apostille is a certificate that authenticates the origin of a public document, such as a birth certificate, diploma or court decision, so that it can be used in another country that is party to the 1961 Hague Apostille Convention. For those countries it replaces the longer chain of embassy legalization.

An apostille can only be issued by the designated authority in the country where the document was issued. Through our international network we request apostilles in the issuing country on your behalf, translate the document if needed, and return everything to you in Somalia or wherever you are. If the destination country does not accept apostilles, we switch to full consular or embassy legalization instead.

Frequently asked questions

Can documents issued in Somalia be apostilled?

This depends on whether Somalia's competent authorities issue apostilles at the time of your request. If they do not, documents issued in Somalia are legalized through the ministry and the destination country's embassy or consulate instead. We check the current procedure for your document and advise you before you pay anything.

Do I need to travel to get an apostille?

No. We handle the request with the issuing authority through our offices and partners. You only need to provide the document or authorise us to retrieve it.

Does the translation also need an apostille?

Sometimes. Some countries require the apostille on the original document, others also on the certified or notarised translation. We plan the correct order of steps for your destination country.
